Literacy Assessments & Numeracy Assessments

As you maybe aware as part of their graduation requirement your child is required to complete both a Literacy Assessment and a Numeracy Assessment in their Grade 10 year.  Our records indicate your child has yet to complete one or both of theses assessments and is required to do one or both of them this year.

Summit will be holding the Grade 10 Provincial Numeracy and Literacy Assessments at our MSS campus during the school day on January 25th, 26th, 27th 28th   The specific days and times for your child to come in to write each of their assessments will be provided in early January.  This notice is being sent at this time to allow your child an opportunity to preview sample assessments, and if these so choose complete some practice assessments to familiarize themselves with format.  We strongly encourage each student to do this.

For more information on these assessments, in addition to access to sample assessments questions and pre-assessment activities please visit   https://curriculum.gov.bc.ca/provincial-assessment.

Further information and updates will be provided in January on our website, and in an email to parents.
